The world is noisy. Noise is not just sound, but the message of the world, the words of hatred, the arguments over every-thing from morality to racism to patriotism; the world is loud. How should Christ-followers respond? Should we respond? Why do we feel the need to engage in the noise if we know nothing will change?
The foundation of our worldview must come from the Scrip-ture. Are our responses of intensity and frustration really a cover for a confused and divided heart? How does our en-gagement with the noise impact our ability to give our mind’s attention and our heart’s affection to God? Let’s make sure that what we worship is worthy of our worship. Remember to Pray First! Visit our prayer room available each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. first floor of the Clark Building. Get quiet with God prior to Heritage Service. Drop-in, spend time praying for personal needs or for those on the prayer list provided.

WORLD COMMUNION SUNDAY
World Communion Sunday is October 1. Join us as we gather with other Christ-followers around the world in the Sacrament of Communion.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
The power of one simple gift; a packed shoe box and just $9.00 will warm the hearts of children clear across the globe. To some this is the only gift they receive all year. Let us not allow one child to be turned away without receiving a shoebox gift. Watch for shoeboxes to appear by Sunday, October 15.
FALL FESTIVAL & Trunk or Treat
You Are Needed! Landmark’s Fall Festival will take place Sunday, October 29 from 4-6 p.m. Stop by the table located in the foyer before or after the morning service and discover how you can be a part of this wonderful outreach. There are many volunteer options still available. Don’t be discouraged if creativity is not your strong gift, Ginger Hammons will be glad to help in creating the perfect “trunk or treat” theme for you. Feel free to contact the church office at 334-297-4200.
For those that wish to attend the Missions Rally in Lanett on Tuesday, October 17, plan on meeting at the church by 6:15.
